THE BASICS
Abby Mallo and Natalie Sullivan had three hits apiece and combined for five RBIs in Saint Louis' 6-5 loss at SIUE Tuesday night.
 
Mallo and Sullivan each homered, with Mallo swatting her team-leading 11th round-tripper of the season and Sullivan collecting her second.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Saint Louis got off to a good start in the top of the first inning, scoring twice on Sullivan's home run.
•The Billikens doubled their lead in the third. Singles by Abby Ulsas and Sullivan were followed by Mallo's two-run double.
•SIUE tied the score with four runs in its half of the third.
•Mallo struck again in the fifth, hitting a solo home run that put SLU on top 5-4.
•SIUE tallied single runs in the fifth and sixth to take a 6-5 lead that held up for the win.
 
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Karsen Jany singled twice.
•Jane Kaniecki and Scout Gallagher had a single apiece.
