Billikens Begin Search for New Field Hockey Coach

ST. LOUIS – Zoe Adkins, who served as Saint Louis' field hockey coach for the last five seasons, announced today she has resigned her position to pursue other professional opportunities. A search for the next Billikens' field hockey coach is underway.

"We thank Zoe for her five years at Saint Louis and wish her the best in her future endeavors," SLU Director of Athletics Chris May said. "We will be searching for a head coach who can drive our strategic objectives, which are to educate, compete and build community. With our new on-campus field and an additional level of support, we will continue to build toward a winning field hockey program here at SLU."

Adkins was hired as SLU's head coach in June 2020. The Billikens were 16-62 in her five years, including a 2-12 mark last season. Adkins guided SLU to five victories in 2022, the most wins in a season since 2006.

Assistant coach Nicole McDowell will oversee the program during the coaching search.
