GAME DETAILS
•Saint Louis scored just 39 seconds into the game and never looked back in a convincing 4-0 season-opening victory over Kansas City Thursday night at Durwood Soccer Stadium.
•Lucie Schwartz converted a corner kick from Izzy Luebbert to give the Billikens the only goal they would need in the first minute. It was the first of three consecutive corner-kick tallies for SLU and the first of a career-high three assists and three points for Luebbert.
•Emily Fox, with assists from Luebbert and Hope Kim, scored in the 32nd minute to give Saint Louis a 2-0 lead it would take into intermission.
•Luebbert's third corner-kick helper led to Rylee Howard's goal in the 59th minute. Schwartz also assisted, giving her a career-high three points.
•Audrey Smith, assisted by Addison Stanciak and Adee Broesder, concluded the scoring with a goal in the 84th minute.
•Emma Parker and Nimu Karani played the first half and second half, respectively, for a combined shutout, with Parker credited with the win. Karani stopped Kansas City's only shot on goal.
