FAIRFAX, Va. – Saint Louis fell in straight sets to George Mason on Saturday afternoon, moving to 8-5 overall and 0-2 in Atlantic 10 play.
SET 1: SLU 9, GMU 25
The Billikens fell behind early after a 5-0 run by the Patriots to open the match. An ace from

Jetta Brenning got SLU on the board, but the offense couldn't recover as the Patriots used another extended run to close the set.
SET 2: SLU 20, GMU 25
Saint Louis came out strong, putting together a 6-0 surge with kills from
Irmak Gokcen,
Ellie Rink, and Brenning to grab a 6-3 lead. The set featured eight ties, with the Billikens holding even as late as 18-18. Despite the back-and-forth, George Mason capitalized on a late push to edge out the frame.
SET 3: SLU 17, GMU 25
The Billikens again started well, trading points early and pulling within 12-10 after kills from
Kayla Jansen and Rink. A late Patriot run, however, proved the difference as the hosts sealed the match.
