ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis defeated Maryville 4-1 Sunday afternoon at the Maryville Athletic Complex in St. Louis.
The Billikens improve to 4-4 on the season, while Maryville dips to 4-3.
Olivia Smith scored twice for the Billikens. Brynn Newborn and Shaya Dry also tallied for SLU. Abby Schalow made four saves for the win in the cage.

Just before halftime, the Billikens were awarded a penalty stroke when Abby Vidas' shot hit the foot of a Maryville defender on the way into the goal. Smith converted the stroke to make it 2-1 SLU heading into halftime.
In the second half, Smith notched her second of the game on a long shot that snuck inside the far post.Â
Later in the half, Macy Budd had a great run into the circle and centered the ball for Dry, who deflected it into the cage for the 4-1 final.
