ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis erupted for five third-quarter scores in a 6-0 victory over Lincoln Memorial Sunday afternoon at the SLU Field Hockey Complex.
The Billikens (2-1) cap an impressive weekend of play. On Saturday, they posted their first win against Ohio since 1997, the first NCAA Division I win at the SLU Field Hockey Complex, and the first win for interim head coach Laura Hurff. SLU kept that momentum going today, giving SLU back-to-back wins for the first time since 2023.Â
Sierra Larson scored twice for the Bills, including the first-half game-winning goal. Abby Vidas also scored a pair of goals for Saint Louis.
Olivia Smith and Macy Budd added the other tallies for the Billikens, who owned a dominating 27-1 advantage in shot and 7-1 edge in penalty corners.
Abby Schalow and Kerri O'Donnell each played a half in the cage and split the shutout.
Saint Louis now embarks on a three-game road swing, beginning next Friday at Bellarmine. SLU is next in action at the SLU Field Hockey Complex on Friday, Sept. 26, against VCU during SLU's Homecoming & Family Weekend.
