ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis women's basketball fell 74-59 to Loyola Chicago on Saturday night at Chaifetz Arena.
The Billikens dropped to 11-11 overall and 5-4 in Atlantic 10 play, while the Ramblers improved to 9-11 and 5-4 in the conference.
The teams traded baskets early before Saint Louis used a 4-0 run to take a 6-4 lead. Loyola responded with a surge to go ahead 17-8 and held a 17-13 advantage after the opening quarter.
The Ramblers opened the second quarter on a 7-0 run to extend the lead to 24-13. Saint Louis struggled offensively and was outscored 25-11 in the period, heading into halftime trailing 42-24.
The Billikens showed life in the third quarter, using a 9-0 run to cut the deficit to 48-39. Saint Louis outscored Loyola 18-11 in the frame but still trailed 53-42 entering the fourth.
Loyola answered with a 10-2 run early in the final quarter to push its lead to 63-46.

Alyssa Koerkenmeier combined to score 11 of the Billikens' 17 fourth-quarter points.
