PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Saint Louis University baseball team fell 7-1 in its season opener against Ohio State at the Blue Wahoos Stadium on Friday afternoon.
The Billikens outhit the Buckeyes, 10-8, but left 13 runners on base.
Ohio State scored one run in the first and second innings, then three in the third and another in the sixth to take a 6-0 lead going into the seventh.
The Billikens lone run came from a
Krew Bond solo homerun in the eighth inning.
The Buckeyes plated one more run in the bottom of the eighth to seal their 7-1 victory.
