GAME RESULT

Skyhawk Invitational
Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026
Martin, Tenn. (Bettye Giles Field)

THE BASICS
•Anna Christ had four RBIs, and a three-run seventh inning gave Saint Louis a 9-7 victory over Valparaiso Saturday morning on the final day of UT Martin's Skyhawk Invitational.
•Karsen Jany had three hits for the Billikens, who improved to 6-4 with their fourth consecutive win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
•Christ put the Billikens in front 3-0 with a sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning and a two-run home run in the third.
•Valparaiso pulled even by scoring three unearned runs in the fourth.
•SLU answered right away with three runs in the fifth. Christ drew a bases-loaded walk, Kate Proffitt delivered an RBI single and Sophia Boente was hit by a pitch with the bases full.
•Valparaiso plated four runs in the sixth to grab a 7-6 lead.
•Once again, the Bills responded immediately with three runs. Allie Branstetter drove in the tying and go-ahead runs with a double, and Abby Ulsas provided an insurance tally with an RBI single.
•Valparaiso brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the seventh, but Saint Louis left-hander Isabel Royle extinguished the threat.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Two of Jany's three hits were doubles.
•Branstetter and Ulsas collected two hits apiece.
•Boente and Abby Mallo each had a single.
•Royle picked up her third win of the season, striking out two and allowing just one hit in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

UP NEXT
•The Billikens travel to Conway, Ark., for Central Arkansas' Michelle Short & Adam Brown Tournament Friday-Sunday, Feb. 20-22. SLU will face Southeastern Louisiana and Central Arkansas twice each and Evansville once.
