ERIE, Pa. – Saint Louis dropped the series finale to St. Bonaventure, falling 14-3 on Sunday morning at Mercyhurst Field.
The Bonnies used a pair of early offensive surges to take control, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding six more in the second to build a 9-0 advantage. St. Bonaventure added three runs in the fourth and two in the seventh to seal the win.
Saint Louis (11-12) was limited to four hits on the day but pushed across single runs in the second, third and seventh innings.
Krew Bond provided a highlight for the Billikens, going 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an RBI. Ian Blazier also contributed, finishing 1-for-2 with a triple and a run scored. Joey Canzoni and Ian Halverson each added a hit.
The Billikens manufactured runs early, with Drew Kleinheider driving in a run on a sacrifice fly in the second inning before Matt Deutsch added an RBI groundout in the third.
