THE BASICS
•Abby Ulsas had three hits including a double, but Rhode Island rallied in the eighth inning and defeated Saint Louis 3-2 Sunday afternoon in the finale of an Atlantic 10 Conference series at the Billiken Sports Center.
•The Billikens fell to 14-19 overall and 6-6 in the A-10.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Rhode Island jumped in front 1-0 in the top of the first inning.
•Saint Louis tallied its only runs in the bottom of the first on Kate Proffitt's two-out, two-run single.
•After Rhode Island scored what proved to be the winning run in the eighth, SLU starter Anna Christ struck out the final two Rams batters with the bases loaded to give the Billikens a chance. Proffitt drew a one-out walk but was stranded.
 
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Sophia Boente and Anna Rolla had a single apiece.
