ST. LOUIS – The Billikens' defense came up big in a 3-2 win over Utah Tech on Monday afternoon at the Billiken Sports Center.

Andrew Dumont started on the mound for SLU, throwing 3.0 scoreless innings with two strikeouts. Caden Earing entered in the fourth and picked up his first collegiate win, throwing three hitless innings.

The Billikens scored all three of their runs in the fifth inning. Joey Canzoni led off with a single, followed by a Matt Deutsch double. An Austin Neuweg sacrifice fly plated the first run, and Krew Bond hit a two-run home run to extend the lead to 3-0.
