ARLINGTON, Va. – Saint Louis dropped a 13-4 decision to George Washington on Saturday afternoon at Barcroft Park.
The Billikens opened the scoring with a
Hank Gomric RBI single, followed by a
Riley Iffrig RBI double to take a 2-0 lead.
George Washington responded in the bottom of the inning, tying the game at 2-2, then took control with three runs in the fifth to go ahead 5-2.
Gomric delivered again in the seventh with an RBI triple to cut the deficit to 5-3.
The Colonials answered with four runs in the seventh and added three more in the eighth to extend the lead to 13-3.
Iffrig drove in his second run of the game in the ninth to account for the final margin.
