ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis dropped a 9-1 decision to Lindenwood on Tuesday evening at the Billiken Sports Center.
The Lions struck first with single runs in the second and third innings to take an early 2-0 lead.
Saint Louis broke through in the fifth.
Ahmaad Duff singled and stole two bases before scoring on a
Drew Kleinheider sacrifice fly to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Lindenwood responded in a big way in the seventh, plating four runs to extend its lead to 6-1. The Lions added three more in the ninth to pull away.
The Billikens tallied eight hits on the night but were unable to capitalize, leaving 12 runners on base.
Inside the box score

- Riley Iffrig reached base three times (hit, walk, hit by pitch)
- SLU pitching combined for 11 strikeouts
