ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis dropped a 9-1 decision to Lindenwood on Tuesday evening at the Billiken Sports Center.
 
The Lions struck first with single runs in the second and third innings to take an early 2-0 lead.
 
Saint Louis broke through in the fifth. Ahmaad Duff singled and stole two bases before scoring on a Drew Kleinheider sacrifice fly to cut the deficit to 2-1.
 
Lindenwood responded in a big way in the seventh, plating four runs to extend its lead to 6-1. The Lions added three more in the ninth to pull away.
 
The Billikens tallied eight hits on the night but were unable to capitalize, leaving 12 runners on base.

• Ian Blazier led the way with two hits, including a double
• Riley Iffrig reached base three times (hit, walk, hit by pitch)
• SLU pitching combined for 11 strikeouts
