Hope Kim scored three second-half goals to lead Saint Louis to a 3-0 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over George Mason Sunday afternoon at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.
•SLU extended its unbeaten streak to three games and improved to 6-2-3 overall and 2-0-1 in the A10, tied with Duquesne atop the league standings. George Mason slipped to 5-3-3, 1-1-1.
•Kim's hat trick, the 12th in SLU women's soccer history, was her first multi-goal game as a Billiken.
•
Pepper Escher made three saves to register her fourth shutout of the season and the team's sixth clean sheet.
•Kim's first goal, which turned out to be the sixth game-winner of her career, came in the 55th minute.
Caroline Fowlkes' free kick from just inside the midfield stripe bounced once, and Kim's header went over the goalkeeper's hands into the net.
•SLU made it 2-0 in the 61st minute.
Ashley Miller received the ball inside the penalty area and dribbled briefly before turning and firing a shot that hit the far post. The ball bounced to Kim, who put it away with a header from the top of the six-yard box.
•The final goal was scored in the 82nd minute.
Audrey Smith's cross was deflected by a George Mason defender into the air, and Kim was there inside the 6 to convert yet another header.
