ST. LOUIS (AP) - Justin Love scored a game high 25 points as Saint Louis
University beat struggling Houston 82-70 in a Conference USA game Saturday.
Saint Louis (14-8, 6-4) has won six straight at home. Houston (8-15, 2-7)
has dropped five in a row.
Love scored 19 of his points in the second half as Saint Louis extended its
12-point halftime advantage. The Billikens led by as much as 21 in the second
half.
Gee Gervin led Houston with 23 points. George Wlliams added 20 points for
the Cougars.
Saint Louis used the long ball to jump out to a 44-32 halftime lead. The
Billikens hit seven-of-10 3-point attempts in the first half, including two
each by Dave Fergerson, Troy Robertson and Chris Braun.
Leading 20-16 midway through the half, Saint Louis hit four 3-point shots in
a 2:26 span to stretch its lead to 32-20.
