Saint Louis University today announced that WINU-AM 880 will broadcast six select Saint Louis University soccer matches. The Highland, Ill.-based radio station will broadcast three matches for each of the Billikens' men's and women's programs.

The first men's broadcast is set for Sat., Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. when the Billikens' host ninth-ranked Southwest Missouri State at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. The first women's broadcast is set for Fri., Sept. 29, when the Billikens host Conference USA rival Louisville at 7 p.m.

Veteran ESPN and ABC-TV soccer announcer Bill McDermott will call the play-by-play with KFNS radio personality Tony Hubert providing the analysis. With McDermott and Hubert both on assignment this weekend, Scott Warmann will call the action with former Billiken Dan Merlo providing the commentary. Warmann handles the play-by-play for both the Billikens' baseball and softball broadcasts on WINU and the women's basketball broadcasts on WGNU-AM 920.

The Billikens' men's soccer program is ranked as high as 17th nationally in this week's polls. The Billikens' women's program is off to the best start in its five-year history at 6-1-0. Both programs were selected by Conference USA coaches in their annual preseason poll to win the league's regular-season titles.
