CHARLESTON, Ill. - Saint Louis University men's tennis fell to 5-7 on the season with a 4-1 loss at Eastern Illinois this afternoon. Freshman Lance Vodicka was the only Billiken to win a singles set as he triumphed over Blazej Tondel at the No. 1 spot.

The match got off to a slow start for Vodicka as he dropped the first set 3-6 before bouncing back to win the second set 6-4 and roll to a 6-2 win in the third set. Freshman Thomas Kwong battled early at the No. 2 spot, but fell to Lukasz Pluta 5-7, 3-6.

In doubles, Michael Hoosien and Taylor Curran combined for the 8-2 victory in the No. 2 position.

The Billikens return to action at home on Wed., Mar. 28, against Southern Illinois at 4 p.m.
