Saint Louis played evenly in the early goings of today's Northern Pacific Conference match at the Anheuser-Busch Center in Fenton. Both teams made three shots while the Billikens earned three penalty corners to the Tigers' one. With 25:46 remaining in the half, Pacific's Courtney Radonich put the ball between the pipes to give the Tigers a first half lift.
Pacific dominated the field in the second half's play. After a penalty corner, Michelle Lovejoy passed the ball to Giovanna Tripiano and she netted the shot to up the score 2-0 over Saint Louis.
The Billikens rallied and with 2:34 left in the match, senior Keri Brunner scored an unassisted goal. Senior goalkeeper Erin Linehan recorded five saves on Pacific's 16 shots while Lisa Beach made three shots on the Billikens' 11 shots. Saint Louis failed to score during the remainder of the game and watched its record fall to 1-6, 0-2.
Saint Louis will meet Pacific on Wed., Sept. 19, at Noon at the A-B Center.
