Saint Louis fell to 1-6 when Ball State shut down the Billikens 8-0 to close out the current road trip in Indiana.
The Billikens earned two penalty corners and took only five shots where the Cardinals earned eleven corners and took 25 shots, scoring on eight.
Cardinals' Holly Frantz scored the gamewinning goal on a rebound from SLU's goalie and Afton Hess scored four of Ball State's goals. Ball State scored an additional three goals to improve its record to 4-1 for the season.
The Bills were able to hold off additional goals during the last thirteen minutes of the match, but were unable to mount an offense.
Saint Louis will meet Lindenwood's Lions on Thursday in St. Charles at 7 p.m.
