St. Louis -
The NCAA Tournament committee passed on regular-season Atlantic 10 Conference champion Saint Louis (9-5-5 overall, 6-1-2 A-10) for an at-large berth in the 2005 College Cup, thus ending the Billikens' season.
Looking Ahead: Saint Louis hosts the 2006 College Cup at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.
Last Week: Top-seed Saint Louis dropped the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament title match on penalty kicks 5-3 to No. 3 seed Rhode Island on Sun., Nov. 13, at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. Robert R. Hermann Stadium: The Billikens are usually tough to beat on Robert R. Hermann Stadium's state-of-the-art natural grass surface. SLU is 58-11-8 (.805) in seven seasons at Hermann Stadium, but six of those losses have occurred in the last 20 games. The Bills played at the on-campus facility from 1990-94 and have compiled a 100-16-9 (.836) home record with a 10-1-1 (.875) mark in the NCAA Tournament.

Donigan's Data: "I thought this team deserved a shot in the NCAA Tournament, but it wasn't to be. We had some good results along the way, played a tough schedule, were 5-1-4 in our last 10 games, won our regular-season league title and dropped the championship match on kicks. This team had some hurdles to clear through this season with some young players in key spots, and I thought they handled it pretty well, all things considered. We have a core of talented players returning combined with an incoming class that is talented, so we expect to be right back in the hunt next year."
