St. Louis -
Saint Louis Billikens defender Danny Wynn (St. Louis, Mo. / Chaminade) has been selected to participate in Major League Soccer's Player Combine to be held at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., Jan. 12-15. The Billiken senior will be among 54 of the nation's top prospects being evaluated prior to the MLS SuperDraft to be held on Jan. 20.
"This is a great opportunity for Danny to showcase his skills and take a shot at every player's dream, which is to play professionally," Billikens head coach Dan Donigan said. "Danny has two extremely desirable traits - great speed and versatility. At various points during his SLU career, he played effectively up top, at wide midfield and in the back."
At the conclusion of his final Billiken season, Wynn was named first-team All-Atlantic 10 Conference. He was fifth on the 2005 Billikens in scoring with a career-high 10 points (2G, 6A) and his two goals were also a career high. Wynn collected 20 career points (3G, 14A) in 61 games.
