Saint Louis Falls 4-3 in Season Finale at Bradley

April 13, 2005

Peoria, Ill. - Saint Louis University women's tennis (8-12, 0-3 Conference USA) was defeated 4-3 by Bradley in its final regular season dual match in Peoria, Ill., tonight. The Billikens will play in the C-USA Championship in Fort Worth Apr. 21-24.

Katerina Lozanova returned to play after being out with an injury, but was only able to compete at No. 1 doubles and the first set of No. 2 singles before retiring with an injury.

"This was an emotional closure," said head coach Jonathan Zych. "Returning to my hometown of Peoria and facing Bradley without a full Billiken squad was tough. But, we maximized all of our abilities and I'm proud of the overall great effort by our team. We should do well at the league championship."
