St. Louis -
Saint Louis Billikens defender Danny Wynn (St. Louis, Mo. / Chaminade) was selected by the New England Revolution with the 11th pick in yesterday's Major League Soccer supplemental draft.
"Danny will now have his chance at every player's dream, which is to play professionally," Billikens head coach Dan Donigan said. "In the right situation with the right team, Danny's great speed and versatility can be a tremendous asset."
At the conclusion of his final Billiken season, Wynn was named first-team All-Atlantic 10 Conference. He was fifth on the 2005 Billikens in scoring with a career-high 10 points (2G, 6A), and his two goals were also a career high. Wynn collected 20 career points (3G, 14A) in 61 games.
Wynn will attempt to join other Billiken alumni in MLS that includes Jack Jewsbury, Will John and Martin Hutton in Kansas City, Tim Ward in Columbus and Brad Davis in San Jose.
