COLUMBIA, Mo. - Both the men's and women's cross country squads placed third Saturday at the Missouri XC Challenge at A.L. Gustin Golf Course in Columbia, Mo.
For the second time in as many weeks, sophomore Hilary Orf led the women's team with a 5K time of 19:38.3, which was good for 12th overall. Junior Brian Holdmeyer finished first among the Billikens in the 8K men's race, finishing sixth overall with a time of 26:26.8.

Senior Amanda Labuz finished 24th and 25th with times of 20:24.3 and 20:27.0, respectively. Freshman Julia Wykoff (27th, 20:31.7) rounded out the scoring for the Billikens, giving them 79 points to finish third behind Missouri (24) and Kansas (31).
Finishing behind Holdmeyer on the men's side was senior Neal Rodrigues, who was just added to the roster this week. Rodrigues finished 22nd overall with a time of 27:36.3, just ahead of freshman Jack Hostettler, who pulled in with a 23rd place time of 27:40.1.
Junior Jordan Jennings finished 26th overall with a time of 28:12.2, while freshman Logan Davis (28:16.4) placed 28th overall. The men's squad accumulated 82 points, trailing Kansas (21) and Missouri (50).
Saint Louis returns to action next weekend for the Missouri State Classic in Springfield, Mo. The meet will serve as a preview of the NCAA Midwest Regional, which will cover the same course in mid-November.
