O'FALLON, Ill. - Saint Louis women's tennis evened its record at 2-2 Saturday evening with a 7-0 victory over Southeast Missouri State at St. Clair Tennis Club.

The Billikens enjoyed a strong start by sweeping the doubles competition. Casey Miller and Sarah Septien defeated Alyce Kelly and Nikole Novikova 8-3 at No. 1, Hailee Elmore and Caitlin McKenna downed Elise Nattier and Ashton Hartley 8-2 at No. 3.

Saint Louis won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Miller was tested by Novikova at No. 2 but dominated the super-tiebreaker to pick up a 6-4, 3-6 (10-4) victory. Hailee Elmore beat Kelly 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1, while Septien breezed past Nattier 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 and Mia Elmore won by the same score over Donoslovic at No. 4. McKenna disposed of Hartley 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5, and Tomalak was a 6-0, 6-1 victor over Garcia at No. 6.

"We started well and executed well throughout the match," head coach Jonathan Zych said. "We wanted to be on top of our game and play with intensity, and we accomplished those things today."

The Billikens return to action Friday, Feb. 5, hosting Eastern Illinois at Sunset Tennis Center. First serve is at 4 p.m.
