St. Louis - In their final non-conference game of the season, the Saint Louis Billikens limited SIU Edwardsville to just eight points in the first half and rolled to a 62-30 victory Wednesday evening at Chaifetz Arena. The Billikens forced the Cougars into a 2-for-31 shooting effort (6.5 percent) in the first half, including missing their final 27 shots of the half, and took a 27-8 lead at intermission.

Katie Paganelli notched 11 points, while Kat Hester hit 5-of-7 from the field and added 10 points. Mallory Eggert pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds. Ashley Bey led the Cougars with 12 points.

The Cougars missed 29 consecutive field goal attempts and went nearly 19 minutes between field goals. The Billikens held SIUE to 18.8 percent shooting percentage (12-of-64) on the evening.

The Billikens improve to 6-9 on the season, while the Cougars fall to 2-15. SLU begins Atlantic 10 Conference play Saturday at St. Bonaventure.
