COLUMBIA, Mo. - Hailee Elmore won a thrilling No. 1 singles match and teamed with Casey Miller for a nailbiting victory at No. 1 doubles Tuesday in Saint Louis' 6-1 loss at Missouri.

Elmore defeated Jamie Mera 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-3) to register the only point for the Billikens (5-3). She and Miller were dominant in the super-tiebreaker of their doubles tilt against Mallory Weber and Kaitlyn Ritchie to capture a 9-8 (10-2) triumph.

SLU almost won the doubles point, but Mia Elmore and Jenny Nalepa were edged 9-8 (10-5) by Mera and Maria Christensen at No. 2.

The Billikens resume action March 6 at Colorado State.
