Bradley's 17 Points Not Enough For Billikens

AMHERST, Mass. - Jacy Bradley scored 17 points, including a career-high five 3-pointers, in Saint Louis' 77-53 Atlantic 10 Conference loss to Massachusetts Wednesday night at the Mullins Center.

The loss dropped SLU to 6-13 overall and 0-4 in the A-10. Massachusetts improved to 6-13, 2-2.

Bradley was 5-of-12 from 3-point range. Ayriell Robinson dished out a career-high six assists.

Massachusetts was led by Cerie Mosgrove (18 points, 11 rebounds), Jasmine Watson (17 points), Megan Zullo (14 points) and Shakia Robinson (11 points). Emilie Teuscher had seven assists for UMass, which shot 55.6 percent from the floor overall and 50 percent (8-of-16) from 3-point range.

Saint Louis held early leads of 5-3 and 7-6, but UMass took the lead for good, 8-7, on Watson's layup with 16:18 remaining. After the Minutewomen pulled out to a 17-12 advantage, the Bills tied it at the 8:30 mark with a Jones layup, an Eggert free throw and Eggert's offensive rebound and layup.

UMass then built a 32-17 cushion with a 15-0 run. Lauren Woods hit a jumper from the right elbow and Bradley nailed a long 3-pointer from the right wing to cut the UMass lead to 10 with 2:23 to play, but the Minutewomen outscored the Billikens 8-3 the rest of the half to take a 40-25 lead to the locker room.

UMass scored the first seven points of the second half to take a 22-point advantage, and the Minutewomen maintained command the rest of the way.

The Billikens host Fordham Tuesday, Jan. 25. Tip time at Chaifetz Arena is 7 p.m.
