Field Hockey Falls to No. 17 Richmond

FENTON, Mo. - No. 17 Richmond scored three goals in each half to post a 6-0 victory against Saint Louis Sunday afternoon in an Atlantic 10 Conference field hockey match at Soccer Park.

Richmond (10-4, 3-0 A-10) took a 3-0 lead into halftime after scoring goals at 11:08, 17:41 and 33:41.

The Billikens (1-14, 0-3 A-10) managed four shots in the second half but were unable to get one past Richmond goalie Anna Zarkoski. Meanwhile the Spiders scored three more times to post the 6-0 victory.

Tori Westhead made six saves in the second half, including a stop on a Richmond penalty stroke.

SLU begins a three-game road trip next weekend with a pair of A-10 games in Pennsylvania. The Billikens face Temple on Friday, and Lock Haven on Sunday.
