ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis is the No. 9 seed for the 34th annual
Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Tennis Championship and will take on No. 8 Fordham
in a first-round match Friday, April 13, at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in
Mason, Ohio. First serve is scheduled for 7 a.m. (CT).
The winner of
the match between the Billikens (7-12) and Rams (15-8) will face top-seeded
Charlotte (14-7) in the quarterfinals Friday at 1 p.m. (CT).
In addition to
Charlotte, No. 2 Xavier, No. 3 Duquesne and No. 4 Temple earned first-round
byes. Defending champion George Washington is the No. 5 seed, followed by
Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Fordham, Saint Louis, Dayton, St. Bonaventure and La
Salle.
The semifinals
are set for Saturday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. (CT). Sunday's title match, which
determines the A-10's automatic qualifier for the NCAA Championship, begins at
10 a.m. (CT).
The
A-10 Championship changed to a single-elimination format this year. There will
