Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Despite a pair of goals by Lexie Lindblad, Saint Louis field
hockey dropped a 6-2 decision at No. 16 Michigan Saturday at Ocker Field.
Lindblad
opened the scoring in the contest, finishing a pass from Laken Gehris at 23:23 to give the Billikens (0-9) the lead.
The
Billikens would hold the lead for another five minutes before the Wolverines'
Rachel Mack scored her first of three straight goals.
Michigan
would tack on two more goals to make it 5-1 before Lindblad found the back of
the cage again. This time, Caiti
Brownell earned the assist on the play, which came at the 58:03 mark. But
Michigan would score late in regulation for the 6-2 victory.
SLU
out-cornered the Wolverines 7-4.
The
Billikens return to action Sunday, Sept. 23, when they travel to face Ball
State. Game time is scheduled for 11 a.m. (CT).
