Lindblad Scores Twice at No. 16 Michigan

Box Score

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Despite a pair of goals by Lexie Lindblad, Saint Louis field hockey dropped a 6-2 decision at No. 16 Michigan Saturday at Ocker Field.

Lindblad opened the scoring in the contest, finishing a pass from Laken Gehris at 23:23 to give the Billikens (0-9) the lead.

The Billikens would hold the lead for another five minutes before the Wolverines' Rachel Mack scored her first of three straight goals.

Michigan would tack on two more goals to make it 5-1 before Lindblad found the back of the cage again. This time, Caiti Brownell earned the assist on the play, which came at the 58:03 mark. But Michigan would score late in regulation for the 6-2 victory.

SLU out-cornered the Wolverines 7-4.

The Billikens return to action Sunday, Sept. 23, when they travel to face Ball State. Game time is scheduled for 11 a.m. (CT).
