SENIOR DAY AT HERMANN STADIUM – Saint Louis women's soccer (4-10-2, 3-2-1 A-10), tied for second place in the Atlantic 10 Conference with 10 points, hosts Rhode Island (5-11, 0-6 A-10) Sunday, Oct. 27. Kickoff at Robert R. Hermann Stadium for the Bills' final home game of 2013 is scheduled for 1 p.m. Billiken senior players Tori Belgeri, Maddie Gebauer, Jenny Hummert, Jessie Jarrett and Kailey Pretzlaff, as well as senior manager Liz Kaiser, will be honored prior to the game.
STREET CLOSURE INFORMATION – A portion of the 2013 Quinn Family Foundation Rock 'n' Roll St. Louis Marathon & 1/2 Marathon to Benefit Team Activities for Special Kids (TASK) is being run close to the SLU campus on Sunday. ATLANTIC 10 STANDINGS – With two games remaining, Saint Louis is in a strong position to qualify for the eight-team Atlantic 10 Conference Championship for the first time since 2009. Dayton (5-0-0, 15 points) leads the league, with VCU (3-1-1, 10) and SLU (3-2-1, 10) tied for second. George Mason (3-2-0, 9) is fourth, followed by La Salle (2-1-1, 7), Saint Joseph's (2-2-1, 7), George Washington (2-2-1, 7), Massachusetts (2-3-1, 7), Fordham (2-3-1, 7), Richmond (2-2-0, 6), St. Bonaventure (2-3-0, 6), Duquesne (1-2-1, 4) and Rhode Island (0-6-0, 0).

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS – Sophomore forward Livi Logan-Wood has a team-high five goals and adds an assist for a team-leading 11 points. Senior midfielder/forward Jenny Hummert (3G, 2A) and senior defender Jessie Jarrett (3G, 1A) are second and third with eight and seven points, respectively. Junior defender Maddy Bush (2G) and sophomore midfielder Jamei Borges (1G, 2A) have four points apiece, while senior midfielder Tori Belgeri and freshman forwards Cristina Rodriguez and Kirsten Clemens all have a goal and an assist for three points. Senior forward Maddie Gebauer owns two assists, and freshman midfielder Tori Marshall and junior forward Lindsay Elking have one helper apiece. Sophomore goalkeeper Hanna Benben carries a 1.86 goals against average – 1.25 in conference play – and has one shutout.
LAST TIME OUT – The Billikens were edged 3-2 in overtime at Dayton Oct. 19. Jenny Hummert collected a goal and an assist, Livi Logan-Wood scored a goal and Lindsay Elking tallied an assist. Hanna Benben made a career-high eight saves.
HEAD COACH KATIE SHIELDS – Katie Shields is in her first season as the Billikens' head coach after serving as a SLU assistant coach last year. Shields is joined on the sideline by four newcomers to the staff – assistant coaches Scott Gloden and Vince Gentile, volunteer assistant Anne Gloden and senior graduate manager Maggie Baumann.
SCOUTING RHODE ISLAND – The Rams have lost six straight and eight of their last nine matches. Junior midfielder Samantha Leyh (7G, 2A) ranks sixth in goals per game and eighth in points per game in the A-10. Freshman forward Donika Murray and freshman midfielder/forward Nicole Brennan have three goals apiece, while senior forward Lucy Gildein has two goals and three assists. Rhode Island has used four goalkeepers this season; senior Chelsea Broghamer leads that quartet in minutes and carries a 1.49 GAA.
THE RHODE ISLAND SERIES – The Billikens lead the Rams 6-2 in the all-time series. SLU has won all five games against Rhode Island played at Hermann Stadium, including a 1-0 decision in the teams' most recent meeting two seasons ago.
