BILLIKENS LOOK FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WIN – Saint Louis women's soccer (3-8-1, 2-0) seeks its third consecutive victory when the Billikens take on new Atlantic 10 Conference member George Mason (3-7-1, 0-1) Sunday, Oct. 6. Game time at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Va., is 2 p.m. (CT). A victory Sunday would give SLU its second 3-0 start in A-10 play, matching the 2005 team in the program's first season in the league.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS – Senior defender Jessie Jarrett and sophomore forward Livi Logan-Wood have two goals and an assist each for a team-high five points. Senior midfielder/forward Jenny Hummert and junior defender Maddy Bush have tallied two goals apiece, while freshman forwards Cristina Rodriguez and Kirsten Clemens each have a goal and an assist. Senior midfielder Tori Belgeri has recorded a goal; sophomore midfielder Jamei Borges has two assists; and senior forward Maddie Gebauer and freshman midfielder Tori Marshall own one assist apiece.
LAST TIME OUT – The Billikens overcame adversity to post a 1-0 victory at Richmond Friday night. Kirsten Clemens scored her first collegiate goal at the 7:31 mark, and SLU held on despite seeing its goalkeeper sent off with a red card in the 44th minute. After Andrea Strebler finished the half between the posts, Lindsay Elking took over following intermission and made four saves to preserve the Bills' first shutout of the season.
HEAD COACH KATIE SHIELDS – Katie Shields is in her first season as the Billikens' head coach after serving as a SLU assistant coach last year. Shields is joined on the sideline by four newcomers to the staff – assistant coaches Scott Gloden and Vince Gentile, volunteer assistant Anne Gloden and senior graduate manager Maggie Baumann.
SCOUTING GEORGE MASON – The Patriots have dropped four straight decisions, including a 3-0 loss at Dayton Friday night in their conference opener. Nine starters and 11 additional players are back from George Mason's 2012 team that was 7-11-1 overall and 3-6-1 (eighth place) in the Colonial Athletic Association. Senior midfielder Jazmin Cardoso (2G, 2A), junior forward Liz Hodges (2G, 1A) and freshman midfielder Brenna Connell (1G, 2A) are the Patriots' offensive leaders. Senior goalkeeper Lyndse Hokanson has a 2.03 goals against average and two shutouts.
