FAIRFAX, Va. – Lindsay Elking made seven saves in goal, but George Mason scored in overtime to capture a 1-0 Atlantic 10 Conference victory Sunday afternoon at George Mason Stadium.

The Patriots (4-7-1, 1-1), playing in their first season as an A-10 member, won the game at the 96:49 mark. Emma Starr, assisted by Brenna Connell, collected her second goal of the season on a shot from the top of the box.

Jamei Borges tied for game-high honors with a career-high-tying three shots, two of which were on goal.

The Billikens (3-9-1, 2-1) host A-10 foe Duquesne Friday, Oct. 11. First whistle at Robert R. Hermann Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m.
