BILLIKEN LEADERS – Erin Nelson tops the Saint Louis scoring chart with 15.2 points per game, followed by Desirae Ball (13.6 ppg), Jamesia Price (10.3 ppg), Sadie Stipanovich (8.9 ppg) and Denisha Womack (7.3 ppg). Price (19-of-45, .422) and Nelson have 19 and 12 3-pointers, respectively, while Nelson (39-of-46, .848), Womack (23-of-27, .852) and Ball (20-of-22, .909) lead the way at the foul line. Stipanovich and Olivia Jakubicek average a team-high 6.7 rebounds apiece, with Stipanovich pulling down 3.7 offensive boards per game. Womack and Nelson average 5.3 and 5.0 rebounds, respectively. Price (3.8 apg) tops the assists chart.
LAST TIME OUT – Sadie Stipanovich registered her first collegiate double-double in SLU's 74-65 loss at Northern Iowa Dec. 7. Stipanovich tied for game-high honors with a career-high 17 points (6-of-11 FG, 5-of-6 FT) and led all players with a career-high-tying 10 rebounds. Desirae Ball also scored 17 points, while Olivia Jakubicek had nine rebounds and a career- and game-high five assists.
HEAD COACH LISA STONE – Second-year Billiken head coach Lisa Stone owns a 518-262 record in her 28th year as a collegiate head coach. Before arriving at Saint Louis, Stone was 128-119 in eight seasons at Wisconsin, 64-27 in three years at Drake, 277-59 in 12 campaigns at Wisconsin-Eau Claire and 34-32 in three seasons at Cornell (Iowa). She is joined on the sideline by three assistants in their first seasons at SLU – Mike Geary, Kristy Guffey and Linda Sayavongchanh.
SCOUTING SEMO – The Redhawks – coached by Ty Margenthaler, who was an assistant to SLU head coach Lisa Stone at Wisconsin – have lost six of their last seven games. Sophomore guards Kara Wright (11.7 ppg) and Olivia Hackmann (11.3 ppg) lead the offense, while senior forward Patricia Mack (9.0 rpg) and sophomore forward Connor King (6.4 rpg) are SEMO's leading rebounders.
THE SEMO SERIES – Saint Louis owns an 11-8 advantage against Southeast Missouri State in a series that began in the 1975-76 season. The Redhawks captured a 59-52 victory in Cape Girardeau, Mo., a year ago.
