ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis men's tennis concluded the regular season with a 5-2 loss to Butler Saturday at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
Joe Flanagan and Luis Miguel Flores won at Nos. 3 and 5 singles, respectively, while Flores teamed with Patrick Kella for a victory at No. 1 doubles.
It was the final home match for senior Bobby Kidera, who battled in narrow defeats at No. 1 singles and No. 3 doubles.
“I'm very proud of the way Bobby competed today,” head coach Jon Zych said. “He didn't get the results he wanted, but he was very focused and gave it everything he had on Senior Day.
“I feel good about the way we competed overall,” Zych said. “We were right there in doubles again. I think this performance will give us confidence going into the A-10 tournament.”
The Billikens (6-12) will compete at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship beginning Thursday, April 25, in Mason, Ohio.
