CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Saint Louis battled Southeast Missouri State to a 0-0 draw Tuesday night at Houck Stadium in the first exhibition game of the season for both teams.
Hanna Benben made three saves in goal for the Billikens, while Tori Belgeri and Kailey Pretzlaff collected two shots apiece.
“We dominated possession but were disappointed that we were unable to convert our chances,” head coach Katie Shields said. “Hanna Benben had a strong performance in goal preserving the shutout.
“We will look at the film, make some adjustments and get ready for our next opponent on Friday.”
The Billikens host Arkansas State Friday, Aug. 16, in their second and final exhibition game. First whistle at Robert R. Hermann Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m.
