ST. LOUIS -  Saint Louis field hockey dropped its season opener in a 3-0 loss to Robert Morris. Shannon Knobloch, Jami Alexander, Faith Mackin and Megan Rogers each tallied a shot in the match. Megan Depew-Brady stayed between the posts for the entire game, notching seven saves.

The Billikens were balanced on the attack with two shots in either half. In addition to the four shots, Rogers and Alexander put their tries on goal. 

Depew-Brady, Rachel Mohr, Knoblach and Rogers each played the entire 70 minutes of the contest. 

The loss moves the all-time series between the two teams to 5-3 in favor of the Colonials. 

SLU will return to action tomorrow at noon to take on the Chippewas of Central Michigan.
