SCOUTING OLE MISS – The Rebels blanked Northwestern State 5-0 at home Friday night, keeping their record unblemished following a home win over Louisiana-Lafayette and a victory at UAB. Ole Miss registered a 13-9 overall record and a 5-8 conference ledger a year ago, finishing fifth in the SEC West Division and reaching the second round of the SEC Tournament. Among the Rebels' returning players are senior midfielder/forward Mandy McCalla and senior forward Rafaelle Souza, a pair of second-team All-SEC selections. McCalla and Souza produced identical statistics last season, collecting team highs of 13 goals, seven assists, 33 points and four game-winning goals apiece. They are tied for the team scoring lead once again this year, with McCalla netting four goals and Souza recording three goals and two assists. Sophomore midfielder Jennifer Miller (3G, 1A), sophomore forward Bethany Bunker (2G) and sophomore forward/midfielder Olivia Harrison (1G, 2A) also have contributed to the offense. Junior goalkeeper Kelly McCormick, who turned in a 1.27 GAA and seven shutouts last year, brings a 0.74 GAA into Sunday night's match.
