LOCAL RIVAL COMES TO HERMANN STADIUM – Saint Louis women's soccer (1-3) plays game two of a three-game home stand Friday, Sept. 6, when SIUE (2-1) visits Robert R. Hermann Stadium. The Billikens and Cougars get underway at 7 p.m.
TICKET INFORMATION – Tickets for all women's soccer home games at Robert R. Hermann Stadium can be purchased at the gate, by phone at (314) 977-4SLU or online at www.slubillikens.com. Prices for single-game tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth. Groups of 20 or more receive discounted tickets for $4 apiece. Season tickets are $70 for adults and $40 for youth (ages 3-12). Students with a valid SLU ID card receive free admission.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS – Freshman forward Cristina Rodriguez, senior midfielder Jenny Hummert and sophomore forward Livi Logan-Wood have scored a goal apiece for Saint Louis. Rodriguez also has an assist for a team-high three points, while sophomore midfielder Jamei Borges has two helpers.
LAST TIME OUT – The Billikens dropped a 2-0 decision to Ole Miss Sunday, Sept. 1, at Hermann Stadium. Kirsten Clemens fired a game- and career-high three shots on goal, while Hanna Benben tied her career high with five saves.
HEAD COACH KATIE SHIELDS – Katie Shields is in her first season as the Billikens' head coach after serving as a SLU assistant coach last year. Shields is joined on the sideline by four newcomers to the staff – assistant coaches Scott Gloden and Vince Gentile, volunteer assistant Anne Gloden and senior graduate manager Maggie Baumann.
SCOUTING SIUE – Following a season-opening loss at UMKC, the Cougars defeated Drake on the road and IUPUI at home. Freshman forward Kayla Delgado has a team-high four goals, sophomore midfielder Cassidy Sherman has found the back of the net twice, and junior midfielder/defender Samantha Jones has two assists. Sophomore goalkeeper Jennifer Pelley has played all 270 minutes between the posts and owns a 0.67 goals against average, an .833 save percentage and one shutout. SIUE was 7-8-4 overall and 4-4-2 (sixth place) in the Ohio Valley Conference in 2012. The Cougars advanced to the OVC tournament semifinals.
THE SIUE SERIES – The Billikens and Cougars have met twice. The teams fought to a 0-0 draw in St. Louis in 2011, and SLU captured a 1-0 victory in Edwardsville last year on Alli Reimer's goal with 1:01 remaining in regulation.
