ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis field hockey ripped seven shots on goal against Davidson, but fell 1-0 to the Wildcats. The Billikens drop to 2-9 on the year and 0-3 in conference games.

Saint Louis keeper Tori Westhead tallied two saves in the contest, playing all 70 minutes between the pipes. 

Davidson took an early lead, scoring on a penalty corner in the 12th minute. In the first half, the Wildcats had seven shots to SLU's two.

In the second half, the Billikens came out firing. Saint Louis peppered the Davidson goalie with six shots (all on goal). Davidson was held to a single shot in the second half.

Shannon Knobloch and Caitlin Gibson led the Billikens with two shots apiece.
