ST. LOUIS – MacKenzie Cowley scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season in the 16th minute to give George Washington a 1-0 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Saint Louis Sunday afternoon at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

George Washington concluded the regular season 11-5-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the A-10. Saint Louis finished the season 8-10, 3-5.

Cowley took a pass from Alex Brothers, who notched her second assist of the year, and flicked a shot into the lower right corner of the net at the 15:58 mark.

SLU's 14-6 advantage in shots included a 9-0 tally in the second half as the Billikens tried to register the equalizer. GW keeper Miranda Horn made six saves, including a pair of tough stops late in the game. Saint Louis also had nine corner kicks to none for GW.

Cristina Rodriguez and Tori Marshall fired a game-high four shots apiece, with three of Rodriguez's shots on frame. Hanna Benben made three saves.
