ST. LOUIS – Six Saint Louis players scored in double figures, and the Billikens tallied the first 20 points of the game in a 106-37 exhibition victory over Harris-Stowe Saturday at Chaifetz Arena.
Denisha Womack led all players with 17 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Erin Nelson was 3-of-4 from 3-point range en route to a 16-point performance. Olivia Jakubicek scored 13 points, Jenny Vliet (3-of-4 3-pointers) netted 12, and Shea Shipman (2-of-2 3-pointers) and Sadie Stipanovich added 10 apiece.
Maddison Gits tied Womack for team-high honors with eight rebounds, while Stipanovich and Vliet grabbed seven boards apiece. Jackie Kemph registered game highs of 16 assists and three steals.
Shanique Buford led Harris-Stowe with 13 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
Saint Louis shot 56.5 percent (39-of-69) overall and 52.6 percent (10-of-19) from beyond the arc. The Bills earned a 52-36 advantage on the glass and committed only seven turnovers.
After sprinting to the 20-0 cushion, SLU built a 53-18 lead at intermission.
The Billikens open the regular season Friday, Nov. 14, at Indiana State. Tip time is 6:05 p.m. (CT).
