LINCOLN, Neb. – Saint Louis track and field recorded more school records this week, this time at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational at the University of Nebraska.
Sophomore Annika Gomell's time of 9:47.64 in the 3,000 meters is a new school record. Hannah Kuenzel broke the school record in the weight throw with a heave of 50-2.75 meters.
In addition to the school records, several Billikens posted personal bests. Jamee Holmes PR'd in the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.51, while Hannah Rohde ran a PR of 56.66 in the 400 meters. Isabel Liebfried's fifth-place finish in the 5,000 meters (17:27.45) was a PR as well.
Hiob Gebisso ran the 3,000 meters in 8:36.95 for a personal best. Michael Scolarici finished fifth in the 3,000 meters, just off his career high.
The Billikens' 4x400-meter relay, consisting of Kita Alvares, Allison Walter, Emma Kidd and Hannah Rohde, finished first in a time of 3:47.76.
SLU returns to action next week at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa. That is the last competition before the A-10 Championships on Feb. 22-23.
