ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis' women's 4x400-meter relay team registered a school record at the prestigious Drake Relays this weekend.
The team, comprised of Allison Walter, Hannah Rohde, Kita Alvares and Laura Schlueter, crossed the finish line in a time of 3:43.45.
Naya Owusu also recorded a school record at the Drake Relays, finishing fifth in the high jump with a mark of 5 feet, 9.25 inches. Alvares placed 10th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.69.
The Billikens also competed in the Kip Janvrin Open at Simpson College. Rachel Staab was seventh in the 100 meters with a PR of 12.42, while Maddie Bryan finished fifth in the 200 with a time of 26.11.
Emma Kidd finished ninth in the 400 meters with a time of 59.91. The women's 4x100-meter relay of Bryan, Staab, Kelsey Gentry and Britta Engstrom finished first with a time of 48.53.
Stephanie Uhrich placed sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.20 meters. Hannah Kuenzel was ninth in the discus (39.46 meters) and 10th in the hammer (42.95 meters).
On the men's side, Pat Sheil was the 10th-place finisher in the 800 meters with a time of 1:55.94.
The Billikens compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship next weekend at UMass.
