ST. LOUIS – The Saint Louis track and field squads competed at the University of Indiana and Eastern Illinois University this past weekend, with numerous Billikens surpassing personal bests.
“We had some nice results this weekend,” SLU head coach Jon Bell said. “The group who competed at Indiana put together performances that should propel their seasons as we prepare for the A-10 Championships. The group who competed at EIU did well too. We have a young team and as a staff we are still trying to determine what exactly we have as a team. We are looking forward to this week's practice and the Indiana Relays to see our improvements.”
Several Billikens finished in the top five in their respective events at Indiana's Gladstein Invitational. Hannah Rohde finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 25.24 and was fourth in the Invitational race in the 400 meters with a time of 57.62. Madie Alexander was fifth in the mile with a PR of 5:08.98. Neal Fitzpatrick was fifth in the 5,000 meters with a PR of 14:47.76.
A pair of Billikens registered PRs in the 3,000 meters. Michael Scolarici finished the men's race in a time of 8:23.27, just off the school record. Nina Razavi ran a personal-best 10:16.24 in the women's race.
At EIU's John Craft Invite, the women's team finished third while the men placed fourth.
Stephanie Uhrich established a new school record in the pole vault, clearing 11-5.25.

In the women's weight throw, Kamaria Gage and Jasmine Jefko posted PRs with throws of 35-3 and 33-4.5, respectively. Jefko also bettered her personal best with a throw of 37-10.75 in the shot put.
Jonathan Goodwin (7.16) and Mackenzie Bonk (8.09) PR'd in the 60-meter dash. Lauren Anderson's time of 5:11.09 in the mile was good for a personal best. Jeff Orf finished the men's mile in 4:25.69, a new PR.
