THE BASICS
--Saint Louis erased a 12-point halftime deficit and took the lead in the second half, but George Mason dealt the Billikens a 73-63 setback in overtime Saturday afternoon at Chaifetz Arena.
--The Billikens fell to 10-4 overall and 0-1 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. George Mason improved to 6-8, 1-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
--Trailing 37-25 at intermission, Saint Louis outscored George Mason 25-9 in the third quarter to take a 50-46 lead to the final 10 minutes. Jamesia Price scored 11 of the 25 points, including three 3-pointers, and Denisha Womack tossed in nine.
--A three-point play by Sadie Stipanovich gave the Billikens their largest lead, 57-50, with 5:29 remaining.
--George Mason used a 9-2 run to forge a 59-59 tie and send the game to overtime.
--Kara Wright's three-point play on George Mason's second possession of the extra session put the Patriots on top for good.
--George Mason led 15-3 before settling for a 17-8 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
--A 7-2 Saint Louis run narrowed the gap to four, 19-15, in the second quarter before Mason regained control on its way to the 12-point halftime cushion.
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
--Denisha Womack scored a team-high 13 points and grabbed a team-high-tying nine rebounds.
--Sadie Stipanovich had 11 points and six rebounds.
--Jamesia Price netted 11 points to go with three steals.
--Jackie Kemph played all 45 minutes and narrowly missed a triple-double, collecting nine points, a career-high nine rebounds and eight assists.
