THE BASICS
Danielle Tolmais scored two goals, including the golden goal in the 95th minute, to lead Saint Louis to a 2-1 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Rhode Island Sunday afternoon at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.
The Billikens, ranked No. 3 in this week's NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region poll, improved to 8-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the A-10. Rhode Island fell to 3-4-3, 0-1-1.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
The win was the second golden-goal victory for Saint Louis this season and the fourth since the beginning of the 2015 campaign. Two of the four have come against Rhode Island. Prior to last season, SLU did not have a golden-goal win in seven consecutive seasons (2008-14).
Saint Louis has played three consecutive overtime games and is 2-0-1 in those contests.
The win kept the Billikens perfect (5-0-0) at home this season.
Saint Louis is now 9-2-1 in A-10 home openers, including wins in five of its last six.
The Billikens improved their series lead over Rhode Island to 9-2 and topped the Rams for a fourth consecutive time. SLU is now 7-0 vs. Rhody at Hermann Stadium.
Danielle Tolmais increased her team-leading totals to seven goals and 15 points. The two-goal effort was Tolmais' second of the season (Fort Wayne).
Cristina Rodriguez picked up her first point of the season and became the 13th Billiken to record at least one point this season.
Mary Niehaus tallied three of her four saves in the second half, including one late in the game on a shot from close range.
The Billikens earned advantages in total shots (20-8), shots on goal (8-5) and corner kicks (10-6).
All four of Danielle Tolmais' game-high four shots were on goal, tying her career high.
Courtney Reimer fired a career-high three shots.
