THE BASICS
--Saint Louis softball fell twice Saturday at the University of Oklahoma Tournament. The Billikens were edged 6-5 by BYU before dropping an 8-0 decision to Maryland.
--SLU is 8-10 on the season.
GAME 1 DETAILS
--BYU took a 4-0 lead by scoring twice in each of the first two innings.
--Saint Louis pulled to within a run in the top of the third as Elizabeth Everingham delivered a three-run home run with two outs.
--The Billikens used a two-out rally to take a 5-4 lead in the fifth. Three walks loaded the bases for Alyssa Tarquinio, who doubled in two runs.
--The Cougars regained the lead in the sixth on a two-out, two-run home run.
--SLU generated a two-out rally of its own in the seventh. The Bills had the tying and go-ahead runs aboard but could not push across a tally.
GAME 1 BILLIKEN NOTABLES
--Josie Knesel was 2-for-3 including a double.
--Alex Nickel and Brianna Lore had a single apiece.
--Tarquinio added two walks to her double.
GAME 2 DETAILS
--Maryland's Brenna Nation tossed a no-hitter. First-inning walks to Nickel and Lore were the only blemishes on Nation's pitching line.
